The day has come! The Colorado Springs book release is TONIGHT (tomorrow!) at GOCA at the Ent Center for the Arts at 6:30pm. I’ll be reading from the book and signing copies. If there’s time, I’ll also do a Q&A.
I am floored by the community support for this project, as the Pikes Peak Bulletin and The Peak have both offered incredibly kind coverage of the book and my work!
In this week’s edition of The Pikes Peak Bulletin, Cannon Taylor wrote a really wonderful profile on my work and the book. If you’d like to know more about my trajectory as a poet and artist and what brought me to where I am now, give it a read!
In that same issue, you can also find an op-ed from me about weeds and our relationship to our environment, entitled “A Different Kind of Weed Conversation for Colorado Springs,” which includes a poem from the book. (I eventually want to write a longer Substack about this, as I have more thoughts on this topic than could fit within the character limit.)
Last but not least, The Peak, Colorado College’s Alumni publication, published this article by Megan Clancy about the book and how my time at Colorado College as a Creative Writing major and press enthusiast helped form the foundation of this book and my work as a poet and printer.
I’m so incredibly grateful for the support of everyone who has preordered, shared, and offered kind words of encouragement. I’m excited to get this book into your hands, either at the release show tonight, or shipped to you very soon!
Hell yeah, Nico!
